Pepsi is a 1 year old female lurcher – she stands at 22 inches to the shoulder.
Pepsi is very friendly and affectionate young girl who loves to be around her favourite people.
She has a playful nature and loves to bring you toys to play with particularly her favourite game of tug.
Pepsi would be fine in a home with calm, dog savvy children but a fairly quiet home would be best. Ideally we think children of 15 or over.
She cannot be homed with a cat and becomes highly over aroused when she sees one so needs an owner who will be able to cope with a strong over excited dog.
Pepsi is totally housetrained and will ask to go out.
She can now be left for up to 3 hours but will need someone at home most of the time initially and the time left to be very gradually built up again. We feel she needs another fully settled dog who is happy to be left for company.
Her confidence has grown in foster and she is doing great out and about. Pepsi does pull on the lead sometimes when she is excited but this is being worked on in foster and she is doing really well – she is still a young girl who will benefit for continued gentle training in her new home
Pepsi’s recall, in a secure area, is improving all the time.
She can live with other dogs and is good with the older dog in the house – she was playful at first and now doesn’t bother him when he wants to relax. We do feel that a home with another dog would suit her best.
Pepsi is a good traveller and loves going in the car.
She knows a few commands including sit, stay, down, drop and paw.
She would be fine with a fence of around 5ft.
Pepsi has not been spayed as she came to us in season. The cost of her spay will be covered by Hounds First as she is over 1 year of age.
