Luna is a 7 month old female lurcher – she stands at 25 inches to the shoulder
Luna is a lovely playful puppy. She likes to say hello to everyone she meets and thinks they want to say hello to her. She is such a wiggly girl when excited. In the evenings she is lovely and calm and just loves to curl up on the sofa either with someone or near the resident dog.
She is OK being left for 3 hrs – she may chew the odd shoe or bit of wood when left but this seems to be more normal puppy chewing rather than separation issues.
Luna likes meeting dogs out and about – she may pull to get over to them and occasionally does small barks if she is a tiny bit unsure but is easily reassured.
She is totally housetrained and will ask to go out.
Luna could live with a dog savvy cat and an owner used to introducing sighthounds to resident cats – she has not lived with a cat before but shows little interest when she sees them out and about. Some management would be needed.
She is a pretty standard bouncy pup for her age – she may jump up in excitement but is coming along well in making polite greetings.
Luna would be OK with a fence of around 5ft.
She could live with older kids – possibly younger ones who were quite robust and used to larger bouncy dogs. She is quite excitable so may be a bit full on for small or nervous kids.
Luna loves the other dog in the home and they have a great time playing lurcher bitey face games – she does need to be fed separately – mostly just because she tries to finish her own food super quickly and then scoff everyone elses as well.
She can pull on the lead but is doing well being walked on a double pointed harness. She will come back if there are no distractions so good recall should be possible with a decent.
Luna doesnt seem to have much prey drive at the moment and has also been around livestock with little interest.
Luna will be homed with a neuter contract to be spayed between 1 year of age and 16 months at the adopters expense.
