I first heard about Rusty when he required a Foster home for Hounds First. We thought we would give fostering a go!
When Rusty came to us he was very thin and had lots of scars on his little body. He had previously had wire around his neck and he would cower and his tail would go between his legs. However even though he had a tough start he soon settled in with our 2 resident whippets,
Rusty had poor recall which has improved now he has trust in us , he has lead aggression which is also improving.
He is the most amazing loving hound and we ‘failed’ as a foster and decided to adopt him.
I now support Hounds first as a volunteer arranging all the home checks as part of the volunteer admin team.
