Fly- Adopted by Sam
“Fly came into Hounds First at age 7 after her previous owner had a change of circumstances and could no longer look after her. I was on the lookout for a fluffy eared saluki, but something about Fly caught my eye and i asked to adopt her. I am so glad I did, she’s the most amazing dog!
Fly is my ‘well behaved’ dog. She is a ‘bull lurcher’, which sometimes attracts bad press, but her temperament is wonderful. She is a loyal, gentle, friendly soul who’s purpose in life is to stick her snout into every shrub she passes on a walk, to run like a torpedo and then crash out on the sofa. She’s a big strong girl, but lives with small children and cats successfully, and walks beautifully on the lead.
Flys party trick is her ability to open any door or window with great ease, and she had separation anxiety initially and needed a lot of reassurance . She has learned that there is no point trying to follow me when I have to go out to work, and she settles down for a snooze, but is always first in line to greet me enthusiastically on my return. I can’t imagine life without her now.”
