Flash adopted by Karen
I first saw Flash a few months before I was to adopt him in a picture with one of his foster carers, Christopher Snelson. Christopher was pictured, in his power chair, with his adopted grey Guinness and Flash. This struck a cord with me as I am a scooter user myself and exercise my dogs this way. I had been thinking of adopting a sight hound for a while at that point and this picture gave me confidence that I could cope with this sort of dog. I was already the owner of an elderly Tibetan Terrier and a Maltese x chihuahua. After a few months of looking with no success I was passed by Hounds First to adopt. Flash was mentioned at the time as a possible adoptee as he was already walking beside a mobility scooter.
After a few days deliberation, as Flash was a bit bigger than we had considered before, we decided to meet him and the rest, as they say is history !
Flash became a member of our family in September 2014 and has settled in really well. He is a wonderfully behaved dog and gets on well with my other two. I am now a real convert to ‘ big ‘ dogs which I said I would never have. I would definitely adopt another greyhound if the time comes. Flash has completed our canine family and we all love him. We couldn’t have adopted a better dog !!
