Dylan – adopted by Jamie-lee, Austin, and Theo the spaniel.
“Dylan was found abandoned down a country lane, extremely emaciated and covered in terrible mange and sores. He was literally on death’s door and many rescue volunteers said it was the worst case they had ever seen. Dylan was a very specialist case given his horrendous start in life and was lucky to be fostered and cared for by Hounds First, where we saw him and fell in love. Despite everything he has been through, Dylan is such a loving and trusting dog. Five months after being found, Dylan won the PDSA Pet Survivor Award for everything he had overcome. He was presented with a trophy, appeared in national newspapers, and also was a guest on BBC Breakfast to raise awareness dog abandonment.
Dylan loves cuddles and is a real sofa-dog. His confidence with strangers is growing each day and he is becoming a really chilled out. He does have his puppy-moments and he has us in stitches every day. He has a busy life with us and loves all the adventures we go on together. Dylan has a legion of Facebook fans that follow the daily antics of him and his spaniel brother at facebook.com/dylanandtheo. Adopting him is by far the best decision we have made; our love for him grows every day. We feel blessed to have been able to adopt him and we could not imagine our family without him.”
