Zinnia

Zinnia

  • Zinnia is a red broken coated lurcher of around 18 months in age.  She stands 23 inches to the shoulder.
  • She is a sweet, young, playful girl who is currently in foster with several other dogs.
  • Although bouncy and playful, she reads other dogs well and if they do not want to get involved in her play she respects that.
  • She loves to cuddle up with humans or with other dogs and would appreciate the company of at least one other dog in the home.
  • Zinnia can be excitable on walks when on lead and if she sees other dogs playing she may bark out of frustration but is easily distracted.
  • Off lead Zinnia does have recall as long as there are no distractions.
  • She can be left for 3 hours or so and should be fine left for up to 4 hours once settled in her new home.
  • She is house trained and will ask to go out (usually by pacing).
  • Zinnia exhibits a strong desire to chase small furries but is easily distracted we would not, however, home her with a cat.
  • She loves people and could be homed with children of any age.  However, her zoomies can be very fast and furious so she may unintentionally send small children flying!
  • Fences of at least 6 foot will be required.
  • Zinnia travels really well in the car but does need help to get in so her adopter will need to be able to lift her.
  • She is not bothered by loud noises or traffic.
  • Zinnia is still an exuberant youngster who will need time to get used to new places, situations, people and dogs as too much too soon would cause her to become over aroused.
  • Her foster carer describes her as quite simply a lovely, sweet little girl.
  • Zinnia is in foster in Camberley, Surrey.
