  • Rosie is a 9 year old female ex-racing greyhound who has spent her whole life in kennels until coming to Hounds First. She stands 26.5 inches to the shoulder.
  • Rosie is lovely natured and steady girl who has settled well with the other dogs in her foster home. She chooses to sleep on her own but will allow the other dogs to lie next to her.
  • She does the odd howl – every morning about 7am she howls twice then goes quiet and maybe once or twice when left then settles. She can be left for four hours.
  • She will occasionally have an accident inside by the back door if its raining – she hates going out in the rain like many older hounds!
  • She would be ideal for an older owners or for a family with dog savvy children.
  • Rosie is alert when on lead and is muzzled when out as most ex-racers are and she would not be suitable to live with a cat.
  • She loves everyone she meets – can be a little shy at first with people and dogs but soon warms up and loves a fuss.
  • She doesn’t need very long walks and would be happy with 2 x 20 mins although would do more.
  • As an older lady who has had a hard life she would love some home comforts in her retirement.
  • She is in foster in Chepstow.
