She is a total love bug – with the sweetest temperament. All she wants to do is cuddle and cuddle some more!
Nell was underweight when she came into our care and covered in injuries but luckily none were serious.
She has flat feet from being over-worked and she has an old break in her front right little toe which makes her gait slightly off. She can walk for around 30-40 minutes before becoming uncomfortable.
Nell has separation anxiety – she is not very happy being left and will panic and may rip up cushions and jump on window sills. Her foster carers have gone back to leaving her for shorter periods and can leave her for around 30 minutes at the moment.
Nell loves all people and children. She can be homed with children from around 7 years and older as long as they are used to dogs and know not to bother them while they are asleep.
She is fine with all dogs – all sizes. She is quite happy to curl up with them all and shares the sofa and the open crate with all of them.
Her recall is coming along well in the garden – she needs a fence at least 6 ft high.
She knows several commands including sit, stay, leave and off.
Nell will eat her food with all the other dogs and shows no sign of guarding despite having been very thin when she came in. She loves food which is a great help with her training.
She is a very smart girl – she can open doors and latches to get to food on worktops and cupboards.
She shows some interest in wildlife, however is easily distracted on lead.
She is totally housetrained and will ask to go out.
