Colin is a male saluki lurcher of 3-5 years old. He stands at 28 inches to the shoulder.
Colin is definitely developing into a standard playful sofa slob he is a loving and extremely affectionate boy, always wanting kisses and snuggles. If you’re not fussing him, or fussing the wrong spot, he’ll nudge your hand until he gets what he wants!
He is fine being left – he may cry for a minute or two but can be left happily for up to 4 hours once settled in the home.
Colin loves playing with lots of different toys and likes to share them with his foster brothers and sister and chuck them around the room!
He can be a little nervous of new people but soon warms up if they are friendly and gentle with him.
Colin is good with children but due to being a bit nervous we would recommend a home with adults or steady teens who are used to dogs.
He is totally housetrained and will ask to go out.
Colin has made great progress with the other dogs in the home, he gets on really well with them and loves to play ALL of the time. He shares his toys brilliantly and picks up on signals from the other dogs and spends most of his time doing zoomies around the house and garden with the other dogs.
He does have prey drive and would not be safe with small cats or furries – he has not gone offlead yet outside the garden.
Colin is happy travelling in the car.
He can be reactive to other dogs out on walks but this is improving daily and is also better when walked with another dog for confidence.
He would love a home with a steady and playful dog to help him gain confidence.
Colin knows lots of commands – stay, drop, off and paw.
He is in foster in Leicester.
Adopters will be supported by a qualified and experienced behaviourist provided by Hounds First post-adoption.
