Cadi is a young black female whippet x lurcher who has recently come into our care from a Welsh pound.
She stands at 21 inches to the shoulder and is around 2 years old.
Cadi has had lots of safely supervised interaction with her foster carers young grandchildren whilst in foster and its safe to say she could be homed to a family with dog savvy kids of any age.
She loves everyone and loves being fussed.
Cadi has been really good with the other dogs in the foster home and had no problems with other dogs out and about on walks.
She is house trained and has been clean indoors.
As she was very skinny she is best to be fed separately – she may guard food or treats from other dogs in the house but this is improving all the time as she settles.
She would chase a cat if it was running and is probably best in a home without cats as we do not know her background.
Cadi walks nicely on the lead and can be distracted from wildlife. She also knows some basic commands.
She would be suitable for a home with fences of 4-5ft.
Her foster carer says: “Cadi is a very lovable laid back girl, but is a typical lurcher thief. She is a pleasure to walk on the lead and she can be easily distracted if she homes in on something. She does not react to other dogs barking etc. Cadi can be a little bit jealous of other dogs if they come for a fuss but has not shown any aggression, she loves being brushed and would love nothing more than to be fussed all day.”
