Bilbo is a 5 year old male bull lurcher lad – he stands 25 inches to the shoulder.
Bilbo is a lovely boy – a gentle giant – his foster mum says “I’ve never had a bull lurcher before – but he is so cuddly. When I come home he’s very pleased to see me. He loves home comforts and enjoys cuddling next to you on the sofa.”
Bilbo sleeps happily downstairs at night on the sofa but would come up on to the bed to be with you if you let him.
He is totally housetrained and will ask to go out.
He loves playing ball in the garden.
Bilbo enjoys his food and treats in the house and settled in very quickly into foster alongside the resident dog – they get on very well and love a game.
He would be fine with a fence of 5ft.
Bilbo can pull a little on lead but this is improving and tends just to be enthusiasm to get out and about.
Bilbo could live with teenagers or older kids – he loves meeting new people of all ages but he is not crazy about having his ears or feet touched. This is improving with slow desensitisation but therefore small kids would not be an ideal match for him. There is absolutely no aggression from this boy though, just a small grumble and he moves away.
He does have some prey drive and would not be safe with cats or small furries.
Bilbo is very dog friendly and happy to meet dogs out and about on or offlead.
